Chips just wouldn’t be chips without salt, vinegar, ketchup, brown sauce, mayo or whatever you like to dip them in. Because we think that sauces deserve to be special too, we’ve come up with a homemade range of sides that you can try at Seafish Café and buy to take home.

We’re definitely not going to share our secret recipes. Nope. Oh, alright then…

HOMEMADE TARTARE SAUCE

Fish, chips and tartare sauce. It’s a match made in… well, the Seafish kitchen actually. We tasted our way through all the tartare sauce recipes out there to find the best. And then we bottled it. No actually, we did – you can buy our Seafish Tartare sauce in a kilner jar to take home.

MUSHY PEAS

They say you can’t improve on perfection, but our chefs have given the chippie classic a new twist with our tasty recipe. The secret’s in the fresh produce, and we guarantee you’ll taste the difference.

CHILLI JAM

This rich, sweet sauce takes a while to simmer but it tastes as good as it looks, and is the side to try if you like it hot. For a match made in heaven (and just as good to eat while you’re watching the match) try our battered onion rings dipped in chilli jam.

SWEET RED CHILLI KETCHUP

What could make classic ketchup even better? Sweet red chilli of course. This sauce with added sauce will give your supper some extra shazam. Try it with our fish finger sandwich, or our sweet potato wedges for a dramatically different dipping experience.
